Standards

The Tech Museum has designed all of its educational programs and museum experiences to support California science curriculum and STEM standards. The Tech Challenge is designed to provide months of science and math learning for your students, and supports standards in the areas of:

  • Physical Sciences
  • Earth Sciences
  • Physics
  • History/Social Science
  • Oral Presentation and Communication
  • Investigation and Experimentation

In addition, we have outlined the applicable standards published by the International Society of Technology Education (ISTE) National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) project. Their goal is to help educators incorporate technology education into classrooms. Please visit the NETS project website for more information including a complete list of the standards.

Note: Throughout your work with The Tech Challenge, you may find other ways to connect this year's challenge to your courses, and the state and national standards. If there are standards that you are using that are not listed here, please let us know. We'll update our list!
