Q: When will I be able to register a team?

A: Registration is open starting January 1, 2009 and can be done online from this web site. If you register before February 1, 2009, you'll get the early bird rate of $40 for a team; after that date, the registration fee goes up to $50 per team (and The Tech can waive fees for teams from Title 1 schools). Register Now!

Q: Can participants on the same team be in different schools?

A: Yes.

Q: I am a 6th grader and want to be on the same team as my brother who is in 9th grade. Is that okay?

A: Yes, teams can have members from different grade levels. However, keep in mind that you will compete at the level of the highest grade member of your team. For instance, even though you are in the 6th grade, your team will compete in the 9-12 grade competition since your brother is in the 9th grade.
