Be a Volunteer

Join us in celebrating The Tech Challenge in a convention center hall filled with teams of student inventors presenting their unique and innovative devices.
At the heart of this inspiring and exciting event is an army of volunteers. Groups from local companies and organizations volunteer to
support our next generation of innovators. Get your group involved in supporting Bay Area youth participating in The Tech Challenge 2010.
We have over 200 volunteer shifts to fill!
Please contact us as soon as possible if you are interested in singular and/or group volunteering opportunities!

The following volunteer positions require a commitment of 4-6 hours on April 24th, 2010.
Commitment: Volunteers have the option to work one of the following three shifts:
- 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
We are looking for the following volunteer positions:
Judges: [Adults only please]
Commitment: Saturday, April 24th, 2010, and we recommend at least one additional weekend day for orientation and training.
Specific orientation and training dates are available in the
Key Dates section of this site.
Teams of judges will evaluate the teams' entries in The Tech Challenge and recommend awards to the head judges who will make the final decisions. Engineering experience NOT required.

Observe teams as they operate their device for three minutes.
- Review the team's design documentation, examine the device, and talk to team members in order to understand their design process
from brainstorming through to testing and final preparations for the event.

Commitment: Volunteers just have to be ready for anything and be willing to do whatever, like:
- Team Check-In
- Information Table
- Event Photography
- Runners
- And more!
