Advisor Training
The Tech offers training to prepare team advisors and judges for Tech Challenge. It doesn't take much time, it's fun, and
you'll meet other great people committed to helping Bay Area kids become the scientists and innovators of tomorrow!
ADVISORS: Attend orientation sessions and training to learn how to facilitate a design process with students, learn from past
advisors, and gain an understanding for how you can plan to work with your students.
JUDGES: Learn more about the Challenge and how each team's solution should be evaluated. You do NOT have to be an engineer or
scientist to be a judge!
Below are scheduled dates for Advisor and Judge training for the 2009 Tech Challenge:
January 10 and January 11, 2009
New Advisor Training
1:30-3:00 p.m.
February 7 and February 8, 2009
New Advisor Training AND Judge Training
1:30-3:00 p.m.
March 21, 22, 28 and 29, 2009
New Advisor Training AND Judge Training
2 times offered on all days: 10:30 a.m. to noon; 1:30-3:00 p.m.
April 4, 5, 18th, and 19th
Judge Training
2 times offered on all days: 10:30 a.m. to noon; 1:30-3:00 p.m.
